BAICAI
This SPARKLE by KAREN CHAN x HKMoA original pattern is inspired by the Porcelain Green Glaze Chinese Cabbage (瓷模印綠彩白菜型) snuff bottle in HKMoA’s priceless “Fuyun Xuan Collection” of snuff bottles. The cabbage (白菜 báicài) carries a homophonic pun on ‘hundred wealth’ (百財 bǎi cái), embodying the Qing dynasty’s folk auspicious wish for ‘gathering fortune and blessings.’
.
This SPARKLE by KAREN CHAN x HKMoA original design arranges the emerald-green cabbage snuff bottle in an artful cascade against a black backdrop, reinventing the brand’s signature【Fruitful Harmony】 (lucky windmill) pattern. The dynamic, swirling composition symbolizes favorable winds and rains, as well as a turn of fortune—where history and blessings intertwine, evoking an eternal cycle of prosperity and cultural resonance.
