My design is inspired by Hong Kong’s fishing village culture, merging the 1960s Space Age aesthetic with traditional Chinese attire, creating a visionary blend across time and style. I fused iconic elements such as the conical hat with tech-inspired fabrics and geometric lines, creating this unique modern cheongsam.

The conical hat symbolizes the resilience and wisdom of fishing communities, while structural updates to classic silhouettes—like merging traditional flower buttons with futuristic details—reflect cultural continuity amid change. The color palette balances nostalgic tones with avant-garde accents, evoking both heritage and innovation.

This design is both an homage to tradition and an exploration of future possibilities, embodying a unique East-meets-West fashion narrative.
